Thoughts on March 3rd and texts

Everyday has meaning and value. March 3rd is special for a few reasons. In 1845 Florida was admitted as the 27th U.S. state. In 1885 ATT&T was incorporated. On March 3, 1923 TIME magazine was published for the first time. On this date in 1931 the United States adopts The Star-Spangled Banner as our national anthem. Oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia on March 3, 1938. On March 3, 1991 an amateur video captures the beating of Rodney King by Los Angeles police officers sparking riots and much conversation nationwide.
On March 3, 1847Alexander Graham Bell, Scottish-American inventor was born. Doc Watson, the bluegrass legend, was born on March 3, 1923. Athletes Jackie Joyner-Kerseem and Herschel Walker were born on March 3, 1962. Jessica Biel was born on this date in 1982 and Santionio Holmes in 1984.

Perhaps more importantly it is Dennis Parnell’s birthday. Dennis is one of my elders at the church I serve, director of safety education for the safety commission of NC, most important he is a good man and a friend.
It is also my cousin Brad Coan’s birthday. Though I hardly ever see him, he is a good man. He is a policeman, husband, father of three, and my cousin. Happy birthday. Oh and it is my birthday too. I find that the older I get the less it really matters. Anyways here are the texts for the a few days. Blessings to all.
